Support Collective Bargaining Rights this Saturday

This Saturday union members from public and private sector unions will be uniting to rally against attacks on our collective bargaining rights. The NJ AFL-CIO is asking our members to go to either the New York City Rally or the Philadelphia Rally. Both will take place on Saturday morning. Over the last few years, the attacks on our collective bargaining rights have only increased. In less then a week, the Supreme Court will hear a case, Janus v. AFSCME, that could further erode public sector unions power. If we don't step up and fight this now, it is only a matter of time before they come for us. Our unity as a union is why we are strong and we must stand united with our brothers and sisters in labor.

NJ AFL-CIO:

Collective bargaining rights are under attack, and we call on all working families to mobilize and make their voices heard during our national day of action on Saturday, February 24th. The national AFL-CIO has designated 14 target cities, including New York City and Philadelphia, where we will rally in order to maximize our collective voice.

We urge all New Jersey working families to show their solidarity next month. Be there on February 24th to stand up for our middle class values, a living wage, and the right to collectively bargain. Remember to also wear your union colors and show your union pride.

New York City
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Philadelphia
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The far-right and corporate lobbyists are using the U.S. Supreme Court to advance their greedy agenda at the expense of all working families in a case called Janus v. AFSCME. Oral arguments are scheduled for February 26th, making the timing of our national day of action critical. This case is an assault on all working people that seeks to lower workers' wages and eliminate collective bargaining rights.
This brazen ploy, to enrich the wealthy on the backs of hardworking families across the country, cannot be tolerated. Exercising the full strength of our united voice is how we must fight back against these attacks on all working families. We are proud that we can count on the support and solidarity of our entire labor movement in this crucial battle.
